The former condo building turned rental at 542 St. Marks Avenue has leased out. The development went rental this July after a few unsuccessful shots selling condo units. This building was first known as the Ishi, an ultimately failed condo project that launched back in 2009. Aptsandlofts.com rebranded the building as the MarkPlus in April of 2011, with prices ranging from $289,000 to $369,000. They sold about 40 percent of the units as condos, before the developer decided to switch to rentals over the summer. Prices for the one- and two-bedroom units ranged from $1,922 to $2,529 a month. Apparently going rental was the charm!
