Co-op of the Day: 245 Henry Street, #4D
The two-bedroom FSBO at 245 Henry Street isn’t the fanciest apartment in the neighborhood but it does look like a very sensible, well-laid-out apartment for a young couple early on in the breeding process. Maintenance of $1,204 looks a bit high for only a part-time doorman, but the asking price of $689,000 is about as…

This is very cheap for a 2 bed in The Heights.
And I personally agree with bfarwell and *rob* on the humour of the breeding comment.
“with this ridiculous maintenance, you could do a lot better for your $700,000 or whatever it is in some other neighborhood”
Yeah, but if you want to live in Brooklyn Heights — as I do — it’s a well-priced, well laid out apartment in a great location. I could probably get more for my money in another neighborhood, but I prefer to stay in Brooklyn Heights-Cobble Hill.
yeah that’s what i thought, ive never known a single person to get offended by the term either! hells there are tons of people who always refer to themselves as breeders!
*rob*
Oh purlease.
I thought the breeding comment was funny (and my gay friends trashtalk my breeder self all the time). The term is way more of a poking-fun thing than a insult thing – I can’t say I’ve ever heard it used by someone who was actually trying to hurt someone’s feelings.
Wait, what, M4L? Who is off in the timing? Not you?
Anyway, with this ridiculous maintenance, you could do a lot better for your $700,000 or whatever it is in some other neighborhood.
But maybe what Brownstoner meant to say is that this is a perfect apartment and location for a retired divorced person who is looking to downsize from a house.
a 1st flr unit with an ASK of $440k was advertised earlier this yr – think it was fixer but I would take it over this due to the 250k price diff.
Its a large 1-BR. I really can’t stand false advertising. But its a nice layout for a 1-BR.
So this building allows pets and will allow people to breed them in the apt?
