Don’t have $3 million handy but like the idea of living in a brownstone in Park Slope? Then maybe this one-bedroom at 376 Bergen Street (between 4th and 5th avenues) is for you. The bedroom’s on the small side but thanks to an extra-deep building, the living area is 30 feet long. The south-facing apartment is also in nice, if not fancy, shape. Asking price is $385,000 and the maintenance is $617 a month.

  1. Is Bath Beach in NJ?
I have this weird prejudice against apts with those kitchen cabinets. Yeah, I know they are easy to replace (my apt had them), but they are such an eyesore to me, I automatically think less of the place. That said, this place isn’t bad.

  2. This is one block over from where I live and it’s one of the best blocks there is in my opinion. Quiet, close to everything, really solid. I have friends who have lived across the street fot 25 years and raised three kids. So worth it.

A coworker of mine recently got married and and had a baby daughter, she and her husband bought a place like this.

  3. yes, I just looked at the floor plan again and see the size of it, and for 385K….I still stand by what I said.

You would have to be nuts to spend that amount of money for that apartment….

no wonder prices stay so high, because people keep buying them.

  4. Oh, I def know why Bath Beach is cheaper, it is soooo “not the cool location”, but that’s ok…

and yes, our taxes are less over here.

I also know these apartments go by location, location, location….which is fine. I absolutely understand that.
But the apartment itself, C’mon, it ain’t worth shit….

That apartment is 5 times more than I pay here…..and mine is twice the size, if not more….

I know someone will buy it…..

I am just going buy the actual apartment, not the location, so lets not all get our feathers in a huff over this…..
