Co-op of the Day: 41 Eastern Parkway, #12B
This is the kind of listing that gives us apartment envy. If ever decided to forsake brownstone living (ahem, not that we would ever do that), this three-bedroom co-op at 41 Eastern Parkway (aka The Copley) would be a nice place to end up. phyzore: That’s not a very nice comment. How is it that you think you know what I did & did not do here and the state/configuration of the apartment when I purchased it?
Gosh. This is a tough crowd to work!
I’m the owner of the apartment–a few answers to your questions:
1. It’s all about the views–S&W–CAC means no AC units!
2. Dividing wall btwn LR/DR, as well as all decorative moldings, french doors, etc not here when we bought it.
3. No combined apts-orig inside dimensions
4. Yes–really 2140 sf (as opposed to one downstairs sold recently at 2400 sf!)
5. Co-ops are about more than brick/mortar. 41 EP community of Shareholders BEST IN BKLYN.
6. Feng Shui mostly respected: Drop ceilings cover 2/3
7. Apologies for Powder Room–you can thank NYC DOB
Very sad to leave. Thanks for all your wonderful comments. Really.
I’ve been in this apartment, and the reno sucks. It was never two apts–the owners got rid of the big entrance gallery and half the dining room to put in two windowless and ugly “dens”, knocked out the wall between the living room and dining room, and put in a generic and dated “spa” style master-bath among other things. With the original layout this place would be stunning.
It most definetely looks like at one point in time it was 2 apartments, mainly because of the 2 entrances and you can kinda see a wall down the center.
The kitchen layout is retarded with the bathroom and laundry room little compartments. The kitchen should have been huge being the size of the apartment.
But all in all it is a pretty good layout compared to the newer crap they have out now. At least every room had a window.
um, there is no fulltime doorman in this building.
It’s all about buzzers
Oh, I prefer the original floor plan too. Might open the kitchen up partway, but maybe not even. Love that larger foyer. Feel like they missed a bit with the kitchen reno here — that wall there for the bathroom and w/d, it’s just awkward. But, hey, hard to complain a whole lot about this place.
“It’s also asking about what we could get for our entire house: $1,525,000.”
Ahem!

I would think so. TT isn’t so far away, but being close to Washington is really different from being closer to PS, GAP and even Vanderbilt. I love TT, but the location never did anything for me (other than being across the street from the museum.)
How come Turner Towers gets all the press and this is the first we’re hearing of this place? Is looks comparable? Is it considered “better?” Worse? Location-wise, it’s closer to Park Slope… is that better?
