Apartment combinations don’t always work layout-wise, but this new listing at 133 8th Avenue looks just swell to us. The four-bedroom pad in this Montrose Morris-design building has a very large living area, the result of two mirror-image living rooms being combined; it’s also got a generous master suite and plenty of extra rooms to stash the kids. Prewar details? Check. Tasteful modern kitchen? Check. The price is $1,495,000, or less than $100,000 per window. You digging it?

  1. It’s okay. Nothing spectacular for this price. It’s a nice size apt. BUT two of the bedroooms don’t have closets.
I personally don’t like a vent on top of an island, it distracts my eye. Would prefer the cooktop/hood against a wall and the sink on the island.
Hate and I repeat HATE shiny wood floors.
And the A/C units in the window tops irk me.

  2. Expert – yes, of course no one lives there, but I wonder what that means about the motivation of the seller in terms of whether they are in a greater or lesser hurry to sell.

  3. Rob, maybe one is designated for #1’s and the other for #2’s, or a his vs a her (ie dude gets spared of the “please remember to put down the seat cover). if I’m mega rich, I might be inclined to put in 7 of them (1 for each day of the week)
