The bedroom curtains are a bit too Laura Ashley for our taste, but otherwise this two-bedroom co-op at 76 Remsen Street in Brooklyn Heights is looking very nice to us. The 950-square-foot pad has a reasonable monthly maintenance of $936 and a price tag of $850,000. They may not get asking but we bet they get within 5 percent or so of it.

  1. I remember that other unit on the lower floor. Only saw it online, but it seemed like a real deal to me. I like doing my own renovations anyway. Couldn’t understand why it lingered and lingered.

Cgar, 135 is a really nicely maintained building, but their board is TOUGH. Good friends live there. They had neighbors who couldn’t get a CASH buyer past the board bcs the person was a law student and had no income. Had cash to pay for the place, and a trust fund, and perfect credit, and family willing to sign off on anything, and a future legal career, but was not allowed to buy a one-bedroom place. Irksome.

  2. why, oh why, isn’t this apartment a true two bedroom? It has two bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, a separate kitchen, and two bathrooms. What part of that is not a true two bedroom??? Was it originally a two-dining room apartment?

  3. Oh, wow – we had seen the same apt on a different floor a few years back for a few hundred grand less. It needed a total reno on Kitchen and bath (around $80-$100K for nice reno I guess), so I am guessing this should fetch around $750K – 800K. Its not a true 2-BR. Like others said, its a really really nice one bedroom.

  4. I also watch the one with Amy Matthews. I don’t even know the name of the show, and I’m only moderately intrerested in the subject matter, although they do pull off some nice renovations and I’ve learned some things. Mainly I just like watching Amy Matthews doing…anything. She looks GOOD!
