Co-op of the Day: 149 Prospect Park SW, #16
We’re liking the feel of this two-bedroom at 149 Prospect Park SW in Windsor Terrace. It’s got a nice bright, open feel and plenty of prewar details as well. It’s also right across the street from the park. The monthly maintenance is $795, quite reasonable for a 954-square-foot apartment. The asking price of $499,000 also…

We missing something?

I’m afraid there are some bad people in this building. I looked at another apartment in this building last year, great place, but the police are called at least once a week for disturbances with a couple of the apartments. Looks like the landlord cant get these families out so it is bringing the price of the available apartments down way low.
” … If anyone is still reading, do you know what that thing is under the kitchen window? (need to look at the big pix)”
it’s a space in which [once upon a time] folks used to store hardy veggies like onions & taters & other tubers.
damn, that kitchen is nasty. If anyone is still reading, do you know what that thing is under the kitchen window? (need to look at the big pix)
Two men enter….
Tybur6, it would be battle of who can keep it up longer – you paying rent you can cover or someone stretching it too far to buy.
m4l — I do not disagree at all (though I have to work on that savings balance… i wouldn’t call what I have “nice” right now) BUT and this is a BIG BUT (heh heh), this lunacy is what makes my RENT go up!! it’s all connected! and VERY directly.
Tybur6, repeat after me – NOTHING WRONG with renting and having a nice savings balance in the bank.
Call me biased, but I’ve always lived on upper floors because I like the view from being up high and because there is more light. That last floor can be tough when I have a lot of stuff, but that’s nothing compared to the I don’t know how many miles I walk per day in this city. I used to live in a 5th floor walkup and carry my bike up and down the stairs every day. Now THAT was hard, but damn was I in good shape.
Tough crowd indeed. You guys either have better eyes or better imagination that I do. I don’t see much wrong with the kitchen (from what I can see)…white cabs, red floor looks cute. And the rest of the apartment is OK for the price.
