The parlor floor in particular is dripping with details like moldings, fireplaces and wood paneling. And the common charges only come to $800 a month, a bargain for a 2,285-square-foot apartment. Given that, maybe the asking price of $1,995,000 isn’t so bad. On the other hand, it’s a tough leap to shell out that amount of dough when it would by you a pretty nice stand-alone house not too far away.

bluecat, I was thinking about Montgomery vs Carroll, 3rd, et al. They are all so great, though, that to choose one over the others seems like splitting hairs. Montgomery is quieter (I presume Fiske and Polhemus are very quiet as well) but Carroll and 3rd probably have more architechtual variety…

Tybur6, this is logical reaction since “Jerry” missed “Tom” big time and only way “Jerry” knows how to express that is back to old routine of “bam bam, pow,…!!!!!”
What I really like about Montgomery (over 3rd, over Carroll.. two great blocks) is that it’s not a through street. It makes Montgomery possibly the quietest street in the historic district.
DoBro renting quicker but is it selling quicker, 11217? Not at 16x it aint. Forte sold out (or did it?) after original investor failure and vulture bottom feed. You’re celebrating a 50% sellout for Oro and Toren? Priceless. After Jonathan’s further 15% prediction (he was bullish until recently), we’ll be -30% from peak. Gotta pass through -30% to get to -50%. But he’ll adjust his outlook downards once that shadow inventory starts clearing. Yeah, I don’t care – I’ll call half off until I see it or a bottom, whichever comes first.
