We love the scale and light in these converted factory lofts at 970 Kent Avenue in Bed Stuy. This particular one-bedroom, which has 12-foot ceilings and a wall of windows to recommend it, traded for $456,300 in 2006 and just came back on the market with a price tag of $499,000. (With the broker commission, the owner will be lucky to break even.) Think that’s realistic for the 928-square-foot pad?

  1. I agree with the others,a couch up against an island is retarded, the Living space really isn’t that big, the Dining space is too far away from the Kitchen, and why O why really does a 1 bedroom, like everyone said need 2 full baths, I will never understand that one??? Do people in a home all take showers at the same time……. I don’t know, we were a family of 5 and had one bathroom, yet somehow we survived…..

I would rather have it as a closet.

  2. Pratt is to the west of Classon so in Clinton Hill. The Pratt family built many of the grandest mansions along Clinton Ave so the Pratt name has forever been linked to CLinton Hill. In re how far north Bed Stuy extends I am not quite sure but certainly farther north than DeKalb where this apt is. probably up to FLushing or so but I leave it to others more knowledgeable to comment.

  3. Thanks Wasder. I didn’t know that.
So how far north does Bed Stuy extend?
This street is only 2 blocks away from Pratt which I never considered in Bed Stuy.
So how far west does Bed Stuy extend from this street?
