one of my clients is closing on a basile condo and although there has been much back and forth on this site… no one has yet to explain WHAT the issues were. for the most part, all i’ve seen is a suspicious amount of defenders of the buider and some funny birdhouse comments. I for one would be very interested in learning what the problems were (for my client’s sake) even if they were eventually resolved. fixing a problem doesn’t mean there wasn’t a problem, and my client has expresses some concern over the builder’s credibility and how they respond to unsatisfactory building practices.
I hear that this frustrated buyer with with the sign on the balcony was fed up with this company not taking of her problems so put the sign up and then took it down when they took care of everything. Quite effective in my opinion. Sometimes you have to do what you need to do.
It seems to me as if most of the commenters on this blog in favor of the developer are the builder’s people. If you look for their website, it is under construction so how did the last commenter look at their buildings to determine that they look better than others going up. It is also obvious because who would be posting Rocco Basile’s blog on this site and giving the same spin about the family business that you find all over the internet. I question why Rocco Basile needs to hire a PR firm to flood the search engines with positive information about himself.
Looking at some of the buildings on the Basile builders site, I have to say that while some of them are unattractive, many of them don’t look as ugly as they could be. There are so many cheap ugly buildings going up these days, at least Basile is building some more interesting looking buildings. As to whether or not they suck on the inside, though….
Kudos for taking it to the builder but the sign might as well say “Don’t ever buy my condo” – good luck unloading that one

I am sorry, I don’t think that they even know what the word swiftly means.
