We rode past 587 Washington Avenue (at the corner of Pacific) a couple of weeks ago and realized that we hadn’t written anything about it in a while. So what’s its status? All four unit have been sold, one by Warren Lewis and three by Brown Harris Stevens and at least one buyer has moved in, according to a broker we asked. If we had to guess, we say it was the big windows and open-plan living rooms that got these deals done.

  1. I guess that’s true about the kitchens, but one thing I actually loved from the floorplan and pictures was the way the kitchens didn’t have islands and take up most of the living room floor space.

  2. I actually purchased the 3rd unit and have been living here since the end of June. The 4th unit closed and the whole building is sold out. The street corner does invite a lot of noise but it’s nowhere near the noise that people who live on Atlantic get. Sunshine from the summer does heat up the apartment like a greenhouse but shades are definitely helping a lot. Overall a great purchase as my neighbors have also expressed. Great location and great prices. We can’t complain at all!

  3. We saw these back in Dec 2008
we really liked them, however agreed that the kitchens are a focal point in the “living space” so you would probably want to spend some money creating a divide
but they did a nice job on the exterior and these were priced really well

  4. I saw them last fall, and from the inside, they’re not as nice. The kitchens overwhelm the living space; there’s no separation. It’s a busy corner and with those huge windows, I felt as if I’d be living on the street corner.

  5. Another factor is the fact that it is a new construction that is sympathetic to the remaining late 19th and early 20th century buidlings in the area. They used real brick, added a cornice, large windows etc. Well done for a change.
