  1. have friends that bought a house on N.9th 2 years ago? it’s a good area. their house didn’t need any work at all, but agree that this house will, but probably a good long term buy. that area resembles blocks more like ch than ps, and has several nearby stores and restaurants, with places opening up on Berry like crazy.

  2. well dittoburg, that would make sense. I follow them very closely as well and ever since I helped move a friend into that loft building on the corner of 9th and berry, from the hallways of which we caught a glimpse of the cute backyards of those houses, I’ve thought that street would be a nice place to live. I have never seen a single one of those little two-story cottages come on the market, and it’s been 8 years.

  3. quote:
it does suck that a couple would have to put down nearly $200K on a craphole and then pour $100K cash into fixing it up
I guess BK really warrants it though….

    uh, no, it really doesn’t.

    *rob*

  4. that williamsburg house is super cute and is in a row of similar houses on a very nice northside block. it went into contract and closed on the same day, and I don’t recall seeing it advertised anywhere. also, the price is about 2/3 what one would expect it to be. I’m guessing this is an intra-family deal.
