The first week of 2017 showed that readers continued to peruse popular mainstays from our real estate listing roundups. Of the ten most viewed listings, seven were previously featured in a Top 10 of the week.

The top spot was taken by a Prospect Park West apartment listed by Chloe Sevigny. Other popular homes included a brownstone from the 1870s and a new build with outdoor space in Flatbush. Most of the listings were over the $1 million mark –– just two of the ten were south of a $1 million ask.

Which would you choose?

10. There’s a 20-foot-wide brownstone with an angled front on Lewis Avenue in Bed Stuy that’s currently a dusty wreck. A buyer with vision and resolve could do something nice with it, though, and there are some fireplaces and original woodwork that could be saved. It’s got three stories plus a cellar, and a bare lot of a backyard.

9. Here’s a gut renovated 1870s Bed Stuy brownstone that’s not a flip — or doesn’t appear to be at least. If it is, the house — at 231 MacDonough Street, in the Stuyvesant Heights Historic District — is a good bit more attractive and thoughtfully done than average.

7. Big and beauteous are two words that could fairly be applied to this prime Prospect Park South specimen, at 916 Albemarle Road. Especially big — the freestanding house has seven bedrooms, most of them huge, and 3,886 feet of interior space on a 50-by-120-foot lot.

6. On Putnam Avenue in Bushwick, we’ve got a three-story flip that’s been completely overhauled, from its brick facade to its wood-fenced rear garden. A bit of care seems to have gone into this one, which has some details like recessed ceilings and inlaid floors. It’s set up as a two-family, with a two-bedroom rental on the garden level (duplexed with a finished cellar) and a three-bedroom owner’s duplex above.
