This week, a look back at four of our featured listings from six months ago focuses on homes in Park Slope, Carroll Gardens and Prospect Park South. How did they fare?

This sponsor unit in a 19th century apartment house turned co-op needs work but has good bones and can fit a small family in a coveted neighborhood. It’s on the third floor of 674 Carroll Street in Park Slope, a late 19th century Neo-Grec-style brick walkup with an angled front bay and incised detail. The six-room apartment has high ceilings, wood floors, casings, moldings, shutters and a mantel. This former Co-op of the Day sold in June for $1,067,650, which was $252,650 over the asking price.

In Carroll Gardens, this 19th century brownstone owned by a judge for much of the 20th century mixes original Italianate features such as a marble mantel and high ceilings with mid-20th century updates. Deco-style baths with peach and blue fixtures appear to be in good condition, as does the mid-20th century vintage cabinetry with scallops and big knobs in the triplex kitchen. This former Open House Pick sold in July for $3.9 million, which was $150,000 over the asking price.

The golden brick exterior provides an immediate wow factor at this 1890s townhouse in the Park Slope Historic District. Enlivened with a cornucopia of detail, including Romanesque brick arches, limestone pilasters and a red tile roof, 859 Carroll Street has plenty of curb appeal, and the interior isn’t exactly lacking in details either, with mantels, wainscoting and an original passthrough. There is also the appeal of the location, with Prospect Park just at the end of the block. This former House of the Day sold in June for $4.5 million, which was $450,000 under the asking price.

The exterior of this grand Colonial Revival in Prospect Park South has always been an attention-grabber, and after a renovation the interior certainly is eye-popping. In the Prospect Park South Historic District, the weathered but grand early 20th century standalone at 1305 Albemarle was in need of restoration when it sold for $2.75 million in 2017. It went back on the market after an exterior restoration and an interior makeover for a substantially higher price. This former House of the Day was taken off the market this month.
