How average, Brooklyn. Two of our Open House Picks from six months ago sold, and the other two were taken off the market.

On Macon Street in Bed Stuy , a four-story, three-family with all original details, high ceilings, large windows and a fantastic backyard (according to the listing) sold for $1.45 million. That’s $49,000 under its $1.499 million ask. It was a fixer-upper, with only two photos, showing the facade and a single fireplace.

A second Bed Stuy property, a three and a half story Hart Street brownstone, was in the best shape of the lot, the space appearing to be in move-in-condition, based on the photos. The townhouse, equipped with owner’s duplex and a pair of one-bedroom apartments on the top floors, was scooped off the market in November for $1.25 million. That works out to be $50,000 under the $1.3 million ask.

A Clinton Hill three-and-a-half-story brownstone, currently set up as a two-family, took the longest to be removed from the market, the listing only being taken down this month. Judging from the photos, the place appears in pretty good condition, although there are obviously rougher spots to be found, and the listing advisees to “start your interior renovations now.”

According to the broker, the listing was taken down when the seller decided to rent the property.

(Incidentally, this place was also an Open House Pick back in February, when it was listed by a different agent for $101,000 more.)

A completely gutted Red Hook townhouse on Columbia Street that’s been stripped down to the rafters was taken off the market in October. Located not far from the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel, the three-story structure was asking $1.2 million. It’s unclear what the building’s current fate is, as the broker was not immediately available for comment and no recorded sale has yet hit the public record.
