The most popular listings on Brownstoner this week include a Colonial Revival in Flatbush, a renovated brownstone in Bed Stuy and a massive freestanding house in Prospect Park South.

Popular listings are scattered across the borough this week, from Carroll Gardens to East Flatbush, and there’s even a Hudson River Valley mansion in the mix. The least expensive of the group is a detached house in East Flatbush at $700,000 and the most expensive a Bed Stuy brownstone at $3.38 million.

Which would you choose?

10. This massive freestanding house on Rugby Road in the Prospect Park South Historic District is over 5,000 square and has seven bedrooms and four full baths. Overflowing with original details, the early 20th century house has moldings, wood floors, a coffered ceiling, a working fireplace and an impressive wall of leaded glass windows along the central staircase.

9. This brownstone on Macdonough Street in Bed Stuy, is a looker, combining original details with modern minimalism, though the latter is consistent in this case. It offers a garden rental with a triplex above, and the latter is quite a lovely space, described in the listing as “an acclaimed architect’s true labor of love.” In the detail division, there are marble mantels, a pier mirror and arched entrance doors.

8. If a house has survived almost 200 years, chances are its walls have a few stories to tell. Even by old house standards, this early 19th century Greek Revival manse in West Park, N.Y., probably has more than its fair share of tales. With as many name changes as uses, it’s served as a fashionable estate, a school for female workers and a massage therapy school, just to name a few.

7. Here’s an interesting investment property: a sprawling, Axel Hedman-designed 1899 Bed Stuy house with nine units and a storied past. A four-story corner house with a bowed front, it’s in the Stuyvesant Heights Historic District. Brownstoner columnist Suzanne Spellen wrote about the house’s history a few years back, calling it “one of the most beautiful on this street of fine townhouses and large mansions.”

5. This single-family in Prospect Lefferts Gardens is elegant and move-in ready, with original details in fine condition. It’s at 371 Parkside Avenue, near the Parkside Q stop and the southeast corner of Prospect Park. There’s some nice curb appeal to this one, with its bowed brick facade and Classical details — the Doric columned portico, the key-stoned windows, the bracketed cornice.

Currently divided into a three-family, the semi-detached property (it is adjacent to a row house and a single-story driveway) has the owner’s duplex on the garden and entry-level floors with two single-bedroom apartments above. There are four fireplaces, at least three of which appear to be functional.

3. In Beverly Square East, a historic micro-nabe near Ditmas Park, we have a three-story, five-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath wood-frame with a shared driveway and a garage. Going by the floor plan, any potential buyer will probably want to renovate the first floor, which contains the living areas as well as four offices, although the interior isn’t pictured.
