A Greenwood Heights townhouse — on a quiet block near Greenwood Cemetery at 344 22nd Street — has been completely renovated, with virtually everything new, from the redone facade in front to the newly installed lawn in the rear. It appears to be a flip, but the renovation seems to have been undertaken with some care, and it’s a nice-looking house for those after a modern-ish look. This former House of the Day entered contract this month.
This Renaissance Revival-slash-neo-Classical townhouse at 26 Montgomery Place in Park Slope is quite the grand residence. Landmarked and located on a park block, it’s huge, loaded with period details in stellar condition, and offers some modern amenities the 19th-century builders of the house never considered, like a roof deck and an in-ground pool. This House of the Day sold in August for $5.7 million, $1 million below ask.
Perched atop a brownstone at 543 Dean Street in Prospect Heights, this modern duplex penthouse condo has a fetching design, with two outdoor spaces and banks of floor-to-ceiling windows and an oversized skylight over an open staircase that bring in a lot of light. This former Condo of the Day sold in February for $1.505 million, $90,000 below ask.
On Pioneer Street in Red Hook we’ve got a rustic charmer with beamed ceilings, wide-plank floors and a pair of wood-burning fireplaces. There’s a two-bedroom duplex with a terrace on the top two floors; below that is an open floor with a kitchen and bath that’s currently used as a home office and guest space, but could be a rental unit. This former Open House Pick sold in November for $1.7 million, $100,000 above ask.
