Carroll Gardens Townhouse and Carriage House With Charming Details Ask $3.45 Million
This property at 104 Butler Street in Carroll Gardens offers a unique setup, with two separate structures: a three-story townhouse and a three-story carriage house in the rear.

This property at 104 Butler Street in Carroll Gardens offers a unique setup, with two separate structures: a three-story townhouse and a three-story carriage house in the rear. The two properties offer a combined 4,200 square feet of space in total, on a 20-by-100-foot lot.
As configured, the carriage house is the owner’s unit; the townhouse is configured with an apartment on each floor. Which is not a bad setup: Live in the cute, relatively secluded carriage house while drawing some healthy rents from the main house.
The carriage house is 1,500 square feet, with 2.5 bathrooms and four small bedrooms. There are two on top and two on the bottom, with the living room and kitchen on the middle floor.

The brokers show an alternative floor plan for renovating the space, which would create a master suite on top, two smaller bedrooms on the second floor, and living space on the ground floor. The proposed plan also calls for a roof deck.
As it stands, both properties look to be in good shape, and there are some nice details, including numerous mantels, wide-plank floors, and stamped tin in the carriage house stairway. (At least we think that’s the carriage house. It’s not easy to tell in the photos what’s what.)
There’s plenty that’s not pictured, and some upgrading may be in order. The listing says more photos are on the way. You can also eyeball the property for yourself at an open house Wednesday, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Listed by Brennan brokers Dawn Silverstein and Donald Brennan, the property is asking $3.45 million. How do you like it?
