Brooklyn Real Estate Six Months Later: One Sold, Two Still Available

Here’s a look at how three of our featured listings from six months ago fared on the market.

Starting us off this week, we have a fabulous prewar Brooklyn Heights co-op that offers over 1,800 square feet of space, details and prime views out of three exposures, which take in the Manhattan skyline and the East River. It’s on the seventh floor of a nine-story, circa 1929 building at 35 Pierrepont Street, a short stroll from the Brooklyn Heights promenade. This former Co-op of the Day sold in April for $3 million, which was $1,000 above the initial asking price.

Next, we have a fine figure of a Bed Stuy brownstone, in prime shape and full of restored original detail. Built in the 1890s and designed by Amzi Hill, it’s at 740 Macon Street, on the neighborhood’s eastern end. This former House of the Day is now listed with a new broker, at the slightly lower price of $2.2 million.

And wrapping it up, we’re staying in Bed Stuy with a brownstone that’s been gut renovated and done up with some interesting design touches, more distinctive than found in the average flip. The long-running flipper outfit Massada is behind this one, which sits at 754 Putnam Avenue in Stuy Heights. This former House of the Day is still on the market at the slightly reduced price of $2.599 million.
