A Brooklyn-based realty group bought a large plot of land on Walworth Street across from Home Depot for $2.3 million. The six lots in question are 224-236 Walworth, which take up the southern end of Walworth, a fairly empty stretch between Willoughby and DeKalb avenues. According to PropertyShark, it’s a more than 10,000-square-foot space previously used as a parking lot. There’s no action on the DOB front yet. The owner is an LLC based on Lee Avenue, so presumably Hasidic. (In fact, it shares an address with the LLC that owns 74 Cornelia Street, the infamous Bushwick party house.) There’s enough space and the zoning is right for a pretty large residential build here.
