Two affordable housing lotteries have opened – one in Williamsburg and one in Bed Stuy – putting a total of 16 units up for grabs.

In Williamsburg, there are 14 units available. The apartments are in a newly constructed building at 33 Ten Eyck Street that features an elevator, outdoor area, intercom system, bicycle storage and laundry. Of the 14 units in the lottery, nine are one-bedrooms, and five are two-bedrooms. The building is close to the Grand Street L stop.

One of the one-bedroom units is set at 40 percent of the area median income – it’s asking $589 a month, and applicants need to earn between $22,149 and $30,560.

The remaining units are set at 60 percent of the area median income. For the one-bedroom unit, the rent is $929 a month and applicants must earn between $33,806 and $45,840 a year. The two-bedroom apartments are available to lottery winners at $1,121 a month, and applicants must make between $40,423 and $57,240.

The building was developed by the New York City Housing Development Corporation and designed by Bong Yu PC Engineers and Architects. The building is one of four affordable housing developments in Williamsburg designed by the architectural firm.

The Bed Stuy lottery has much less inventory — just two apartments are available and both are two-bedrooms. They are in a newly constructed building at 183 Tompkins Avenue, near the Myrtle-Willoughby stop on the G.

The monthly rent is $1,114 a month and is set at 60 percent of the area median income. Households with an annual income of $38,195 to $57,240 are eligible to apply.

The building was designed by Charles Mallea, and city records show the developer as 183 Tompkins LLC. The lottery for 183 Tompkins Avenue runs through July 27.
