An affordable housing lottery has opened for 55 units in a 10-story building at 1860 Eastern Parkway, at the corner of Atlantic Avenue, in Ocean Hill. The building is called the Harry T. Nance Apartments.

Of the affordable apartments, there are 15 studios, 21 one-bedroom units, 12 two-bedroom units and seven three-bedroom units. Monthly rents start at $457 and top out at $1,485.

The lottery is set at an Area Median Income range of 30 percent for six of the units, 40 percent for seven of the units, 50 percent for eight of the units and 60 percent for the remaining 34 units. Eligible incomes range between $18,515 and $84,600 for households of one to seven people.

Property records show a total of 67 units in the building. Parking for 34 bicycles can be found in the cellar, along with a multi-purpose room that will be associated with a church that will be located on the ground level. Indoor and outdoor recreation space can be found on the second floor.

Formerly, the site was home to True Holy Church, which will be occupying the new space on the ground floor and cellar of the building.

The property is owned by the True Holy Church and was developed by RiseBoro Community Partnerships, who broke ground on the project in September 2018. Summer Alhamash of Heritage Architecture is the applicant of record. Her firm has worked on a number of affordable housing projects, including the Bishop Philius and Helene Nicolas (BPHN) Senior Residence at 1488 New York Avenue in East Flatbush (which launched an affordable lottery in December 2020).
