An affordable housing lottery has opened for seven units in a seven-story building at 250 Lenox Road, between Rogers and Nostrand Avenues in East Flatbush.

Of the affordable apartments, there are four studios and a trio of one-bedroom units available. Monthly rents start at $1,980 and top out at $2,150.

The lottery is set at an area median income range of 130 percent for all of the units. Eligible incomes range between $67,866 and $133,120 for households of one to three people.

There are 24 units total in the building, according to public records. Parking for seven cars is available off site, with room for 13 bikes in the cellar. A laundry room and recreation space can also be found in the cellar, and pictures show it includes a small gym area.

According to building permits, the owner is Mordechai Schwimmer. The property was purchased by 250 Lenox Realty LLC in 2017 for $1.9 million. Diego B. Aguilera Architects, the firm behind the massive Cascade Linen project in Bed Stuy, is the applicant of record on building permits.

Leasing for market-rate units began in September 2020. Based on the listing photos, the units have open kitchens, large windows in the bedrooms and wood paneling in the bathroom. Pictures show a balcony, but it’s unclear if the affordable units will have balconies.

A floor plan included with the listing shows a one-bedroom unit with two bathrooms — one en suite, the other near the entrance of the apartment.

Although it’s not noted in building permits, listing photos show what appears to be recreation space on the roof.
