Williamsburg still smells like a salvation army thrift shop.
Not sure about other buildings, but what I’ve noticed in my bldg is there seems to be quite a few apartments that are being marketed as short term hotel rooms for tourists.
I love how every article about W’burg draws the same comments, about “why would anyone pay that much to live there” “what a shithole” etc. Yet the articles keep on coming and the buildings keep on filling up, and the prices keep on rising. This bodes well for the neighborhood going forward. Sure it may lose some of its new found artistic roots as more families move in (which I have mixed feelings about). But from an objective point of view, its shaping up to be a nice place to live.
Williamsburg appeals to the Wall Street “bro” crowd and the ladies who love them these days. These prices are not outrageous. There is also a lot of parental support.
Its the new Murray Hill.
and if it is an electric dryer, you can watch the meter go round and round and round and round and round and round
It would have been cheaper to have bought at The Edge.
^ and spews dust all over the place because it’s electric and doesn’t vent to the outside.
but you get a washer drier in your unit!!!! probably one of those driers that take 15 hours and 10 cycles just to dry a single pair of panties
*rob*
What is wrong with people??? What would make someone pay 2343.00 for a studio apartment. Are people really this retarded?????
you gotta be kidding me, 2343.00 for a fukkin studio……
