We were digging around on YouTube today and we bumped in to Queens native Caprice.  If you live in Brooklyn, The Bronx or Manhattan you must watch Caprice’s missive about the borough. If you live in Queens, you probably already know most of this, but watch it anyway. Its from 2008, but it’s timeless. It never went viral, maybe it will now.

Caprice says:

“The first thing New Yorkers do when they get some money, if they can’t move out of New York City, they move to Queens.”

“Land wise and water wise you could fit all of Brooklyn and the Bronx inside of Queens.”

“Understand that Queens is where it’s at. You come to Queens, you know why it’s quiet at five O’clock p.m.? Because people are actually feeding their children. Yeah, kids come home and eat. In Queens you don’t see a thousand people on the street or in front of a building. Queens isn’t about what’s going on outside, it’s about what’s going on inside.”

“Queens is a place where if you don’t understand it you are going to misjudge it.”

“Queens is the best borough, anybody can challenge me on that, but they probably got a town house in Queens.”

Caprice where are you now?
