We want a Queens dad to win NYC's best dad contest, so enter!

As if being the father of a child wasn’t rewarding enough, the city wants to bestow further honor on men deemed to be the finest examples of urban fatherhood. The New York City Fatherhood Initiative is presenting its second annual Dads Matter awards and is searching for 10 exceptional daddies, most of whom will live in Queens (duh). There’s a catch however, the application is due tomorrow, so dads you better hurry up and nominate yourselves or get your kid or partner to do it. If you win, when someone sarcastically asks: “who made you father of the year?” you can pull out your certificate and say: The City of New York.
