Our friends over at Discover Queens sent this great photo our way of the ladies of Leo’s Latticini (AKA Mama’s). As you know from yesterday, Mama’s has the second best sandwich in the Zagat list of the eight best sandwiches in NYC.

This shot was taken at the end of the day of a tour around Queens last Tuesday (10/9), taken by Kenneth Adams, commissioner of the NYS Department of Economic Development and the president/CEO of the Empire State Development Corporation. Assemblywoman Margaret M. Markey, who chairs the Assembly Tourism, Parks, Arts and Sports Development Committee, served as tour guide and they really made a day of it showing off Queens.

They visited various cultural venues, including the Museum of the Moving Image, the Noguchi Sculpture Museum, the Steinway Mansion, the New York Hall of Science, and the Louis Armstrong House Museum. Since Commissioner Adams was interested in looking first hand at how tourism can enhance economic development, members of the Queens Tourism Council also accompanied him, including QEDC Executive Director Seth Bornstein, and Queens Chamber President Carol Conslato.
