Rockrose, already a prominent development company around Long Island City, recently purchased the industrial property at 25-20 43rd Avenue, on the corner of Hunter Street. Public records show that the company paid $8,000,000. Currently, the 6,732-square-foot lot is zoned for manufacturing and residential use. The property has a FAR of 5 — the building on site is only built up to a FAR of 1.52, according to PropertyShark. Given Rockrose’s history of residential development, we’d guess some sort of shiny apartment building is to come. This location is only a few blocks from both the Court Square and Queensboro Plaza subway stations. GMAP
