In January, Josephine’s Feast – who happens to be an Entrepreneur Space client and makes their product part time in LIC – won the 2013 Good Food Award for their Hand Foraged Wild Beach Plum Preserve. Beach plums are native to the east coast and found on Long Island. The award was given on January 18th in San Francisco at the Ferry Building (one of the few buildings that did not crumble in the 1906 SF earthquake that devastated that city). The Ferry Building is also home to one of the nation’s most comprehensive farmers market, where numerous artisanal food producers come to sell their products.

The next day heralded the amazing Good Food Awards Marketplace, where the Hand Foraged Wild Beach Plum Preserve was available for tasting. Two pillars of the Bay Area food scene – Alice Waters of Chez Panisse, and June Taylor of June Taylor Jams – had excellent things to say about Josephine’s Feast jam. Waters said it was “simply delicious” and Taylor said it had “a clear, bright flavor.”

This is high, high praise. Congratulations, Josephine’s Feast, for your award, talent, and success!
