The 98-unit rental at 26-16 Jackson Avenue, at the former Dykes Lumber site, continues to make progress. The Court Square Blog noted that the building is now accepting applications for 20 affordable studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments. Prices range from $539 to $893 a month with income restrictions ranging from $21,382 up to $41,950. Once completed, the building will be 80 percent market rate and 20 percent affordable. Amenities include a laundry room, fitness center, a lounge, courtyard, bike storage and on-site parking garage.
You can apply for an affordable rental apartment at 26-16 Jackson Avenue here. According to signage up at the construction site, applications must be postmarked no later than April 14th, 2014. The website says the deadline is April 28th.
