Sunnyside Shines, the neighborhood Business Improvement District, has provided a nice update on what’s been happening in the neighborhood as of late. First up, some new businesses: the seasonal Italian-inspired restaurant Venturo is up and running at 44-07 Queens Boulevard; Sunnyside Pediatrics has relocated from Queens Boulevard to 42-24 Greenpoint Avenue, right across the street from Noonan Playground; and Advance Auto Parts is now open at 48-02 Queens Boulevard. In other news, Sunnyside Community Services just started up a pre-kindergarten program called Sunnyside UP. The program offers morning or afternoon classes in brand new classrooms. (If you’re interested, call (718) 784-6173, extension 410.) And finally, a collaborative collage (pictured above) made by participants during a Sunnyside Summer Strolls event is now on display at the Sunnyside branch of the Queens Public Library at 43-06 Greenpoint Avenue. Sounds like a busy summer in the neighborhood. Did we miss anything?
