The jokes are on the house! Rèst-âü-Ránt is a cozy tavern with a horseshoe-shaped bar featuring craft beers, curated cocktails and creative tapas. Menu items include everything from buttermilk fried chicken with homemade biscuits to Mediterranean specialties like papaline, a basket of minnow-sized fried fish with a zippy horseradish dip. And on Tuesday nights, this eatery, located near the Astoria/LIC border, hosts Whine and Cheese comedy shows with no cover charge or drink minimum. On March 19, Josh Rabinowitz, who recently brought down the house at Caroline’s, headlines a night of laughter like no other. Hosted by Tim Dimond, who has written for VH1 and the History Channel, the show will include Ray Devito, who tends to pontificate on his life experiences and insecurities; Lindsay Boling, a former college soccer star who likes to make fun of awkward texting scenarios and stupid movie titles; and Andrew Short, who is part-rant, part-playful and completely dedicated to poking fun at society and himself.
