In a rather glowing profile of The Developers Group today, The Daily News cites one sales strategy of its founder, Elan Padeh: He asks prospective Brooklyn buyers which neighborhoods they like in Manhattan, and then directs them towards their Brooklyn equivalents. Here’s how he lines them up:
  Park Slope = Upper West Side
  Williamsburg = East Village + Tribeca
  Fort Greene = West Village
  Dumbo = Soho
  Carroll Gardens = Nolita

Pretty accurate, we’d say. What are some others?

  1. denton, technically you do. but that includes actors, musicians, etc. the $loaded$ ones simply break the law b/c it’s not enforced. the city has no incentive to keep those prices low.

  2. Mr. Snark has removed himself from competition for his own award (you see? ethics has its own reward). And I should point out while a classic of snarkism, there is an earlier entry for Greenwood Cemetery: Greenwood Cemetery = dead.

    I myself personally feel this earlier rates a 5 meow for its clear statement of the obvious, done in classic Gracie Allen mode. It just missed being categorized as Yogi Berraeasque by virtue of its subtle social commentary.
