dumbo-twin-towers-0110.jpgThere are plenty of brokers with the poor judgment when it comes to what photos to include with a listing, but a recent ad for a Dumbo one-bedroom takes the cake: Not only is there not a single photo of the building or apartment in question (strongly suggesting it’s a poached listing), there is just a single shot of the the smoking ruins of the World Trade Center. What the heck is this woman thinking?

  1. I think it IS the WTC site in the weeks (or months) following 9/11. I don’t think another fire site would (or could)have been so brightly illuminated by flood lights. The WTC site was lit that way because work went on 24/7.

  2. I’m with DIBS. I believe that this shot is NOT of the WTC burning. Notice that there appears to be traffic on the FDR drive. If this were indeed a shot of the smoke from the WTC ruins, that traffic would not be there. Also, the smoke does not appear to be emanating from the location of the WTC. It would be more to the left in the photo.

  3. It’s a beautiful photograph and I’d bet that the broker didn’t realize what the subject matter was because:

    a. She’s very young
    b. She’s not too bright
    c. All of the above

    I’d vote for “c.”
