dumbo-twin-towers-0110.jpgThere are plenty of brokers with the poor judgment when it comes to what photos to include with a listing, but a recent ad for a Dumbo one-bedroom takes the cake: Not only is there not a single photo of the building or apartment in question (strongly suggesting it’s a poached listing), there is just a single shot of the the smoking ruins of the World Trade Center. What the heck is this woman thinking?

  1. Well, this agency clearly isn’t interested in details. On the agency’s website, the unit is listed at $635k and the NYT ad has it at $629,999. I’ll second Bob Marvin’s (c) vote as to why this photo appeared with the ad.

  2. this one takes the cake for poor taste.

it’s not like there aren’t a million other beautiful photos of the Brooklyn Bridge and Lower Manhattan without the smoldering fires of 9/11.

  3. Yeah, ‘farm. It was only after DIBS said it wasn’t the 9/11 site. Then I saw bxgrl @ 10:50. My bad, vics and fams.

  4. Scene 3: A mysterious surge in the Gowanus flooding the brownstone belt.

“YET” – I like that part. And we’re nowhere near a government-free market.
