Last week on a whim we popped into Neighborhoodies at 26 Jay Street in Dumbo and ordered a blue American Apparel sweatshirt with “Brownstoner” hand-sewn on the front. It was done in 24 hours and we’ve barely taken it off since. It wasn’t exactly cheap, so we figured we’d give any interested readers a chance to get a group discount. Check out the selection of Classic Lite colors and sizes and then drop us an email at brownstoner@brownstoner.com with your preference. (Note: Like most American Apparel items, these sweatshirts are cut on the slim side.) We’ll aggregate all the orders and pass along to Neighborhoodies, who will handle all the billing and delivery. Depending on the response, each sweatshirt should end up costing somewhere in the $40 to $45 range.

  1. I’m the broker for the hoodie. I didn’t price the hoodie. I provided comprable sales and advised the seller what I think the price should be. They listened and then My client set the price for $5 more. Other hoodie sellers will think ‘Well, if that hoodie is priced at $45, than I can get $45 for mine.’

  2. ‘Cororcan is selling the Carroll Gardens hoodies for $100. C’mon its Carroll Gardens!’

Oh, now you’ve done it….now all the ‘brokers’ are going to come on here and say that it’s a fair price for a hoodie. GREAT!!

  3. Next season’s Brownstoner line of fashion, will include:

Tote Bags – for all the open house listings.
Running Shoes – Visit open houses in comfort and style.
Wallet – large enough to hold 3 million dollars in small bills.

  4. “sorry, pricing’s out of our hands. we’re not going to make a cent out of this.”

Not directly, but you will certainly realize the benefit of free advertising from the walking, talking billboards you will have created. That’s definitely worth something.
