Grenier Really Is Going Green
It turns out that HBO star Adrian Grenier is taking this whole green renovation thing pretty seriously. In addition to the recycled denim he’s using for insulation, he’s just installed a row of photovoltaic panels on the roof that runs the entire length of the house. Pretty neat. Grenier Goes Green [Brownstoner]
That’s hilarious. Photobloggers of Brooklyn take note: you might want to wander by Adrian Grenier’s new house, apparently he’s busy doing inappropriate things to supermodels out front…
“Schtooping” Would that be something sexual otherwise performed on the front steps of a brownstone?
“To Anon 11:47: Shut up, Adrian.”
ooh, you caught him!! adrian grenier has countless hours in between schtooping supermodels and making movies to log onto Brownstoner and pimp himself to a dozen or two real estate-nerds!!!
i’m not sure this is a landmarked block. this is grand ave almost at putnam/fulton, parts of this block are in good shape, others not so good.
he’s done a great job at fixing up a house in bad need of a rennovatino.

Anyone with experiences to share on PV systems in NYC? I was considering one for my house, but it ain’t a cheap setup.
Great moves. that guy is a genius. plus i love that show on HBO, he’s one cool cat.
I think that was anon 10.58’s point too. Usually landmarks requires roof decks and other roof installations not be visible from the street. This pic looks like it might be, or maybe it is taken from the adjacent lot/driveway…
I think anon 10:58 was talking more about what Landmarks does and doesn’t allow a homeowner to to do their house.
