The pandemic may have bumped the third iteration of the Brooklyn Heights Designer Showhouse, but a new group of designers are now gearing up to work their magic and transform a Greek Revival townhouse in time for a fall unveiling. Co-chaired by Ellen Hamilton and Erika Belsey Worth, the event, whose proceeds benefit the Brooklyn Heights Association, will run from September 23 to October 30.
Previous versions of the showhouse saw designers tackling an 1860s brownstone and an 1820s wood frame. This year, over 20 Brooklyn and New York City designers will be taking over the rooms and outdoor spaces of the grandly proportioned brick house row house at 145 Columbia Heights. More than 25 feet wide, the five-story house has tall doors, two staircases, a library and a green roof.
Tickets will go on sale later this summer. For updates, visit the Brooklyn Heights Designer Showhouse website.
