The space on Flatbush and St. Marks, which previously housed an iSold it on Ebay store, is undergoing some major renovations. No recent work permits have been filed, but if we had to put money on it, we’d guess it’ll end up being a restaurant. Great spot for one, that’s for sure. GMAP

  1. Is it macabre to predict the demise of stores before they open? The ebay store struck me as one of the lamest ideas ever. Kind of like the clothing boutique that opened on Lincoln next to the cute card store.

  2. Going to be deli with produce cases out front, according to one of the owners. He also anticipated an early April opening, which has come and gone. Personally, I’m glad that the “Sold on Ebay” signage is no more – so hideous.

  3. I asked one of the painters the other day and he said, “grocery store.” There are a ton of cold cases lining the walls. I couldn’t tell for sure, but somehow it seemed more bodega than Brooklyn Larder. Wish it were somewhere in between.

  4. I walked past the other day and saw some construction. It looks like it will be some sort of convenience store or deli. There were display refrigeration units being installed; the telltale harsh fluorescent lights were already in place. It also looks like they’re moving the entrance from the corner of the building to the Flatbush Ave. side.
