At its weekly meeting yesterday, the Landmarks Preservation Commission approved the Certificate of Appropriateness for a handful of changes to 30 Washington Street in Dumbo, including, most significantly, a two-story rooftop addition. (Other changes included the alteration of some ground-floor openings and the installation of a canopy.) From what we gather, some residents of One Main Street showed up to express their opposition to the addition but were not allowed to speak. Seems that they were a couple of weeks too late, as the public hearing—which is the time for the airing of grievances—was held on November 23.
