Stairwell renovation/ cable railing in an interior stairway?

We live in a duplex condo of recent construction. The stairway is standard issue with stock wood treads, rails, and balusters.  We need to repair the wooden molding along the treads, refinish the treads, and paint the entire stairwell.  Can anyone recommend someone with experience in this kind of renovation work and painting?   In addition, we’d like to make the stairwell more distinctive by adding cable railing, something along the lines of the attached picture.  I’d appreciate any information on this, especially regarding manufacturers, local installers, and a rough idea of cost.  I’ve looked at a lot of websites, many from companies outside of NY, and I feel that without an architect or designer, I’ll be lost on this project. becareful from horisontal lines; kids can climb them and then fall down to the other side. u may need to check liabilty issues if u have guests with kids sometimes. giyora tsafrir

we’re also lookign to do similar but with glass panels instead of the cabling.
