Bricked up windows ?
Long time lurker, my first question. Have just gone into contract for a floor of a brownstone… floor plans for the other floors in the building, all show two windows, that are “missing” from my apt . I can only assume mine have been bricked over / closed up somehow – (they’re all on the side of the building) – question is, is it a major performance to open the wall and get these windows back – would I need to get permits, would it be expensive (more than $1500 ea). Thanks for any insight. coffeecup.

Well, you have to wonder why they are bricked up? What do those widows face? In many cases you can’t put windows in situations like this. Your Coop or the broker should be able to tell you what’s up.
