Repairing Sidewalk and Front - Cost and Time?

Resurfacing the cement on top old one definitely will cost less but it will not last much. It would be better to redo the concrete cement again and that will give you some sort of gurantee. I used Shahalam contractor to do our sidewalk that was recommended by our contractor. I am very pleased with his work and his work nature. Call him at 917-520-0710 and ask for Shahalam.

I’m looking to redo my sidewalk and front area. I’m assuming this means jackhammering up what’s there and pouring all new concrete, but if it can just be resurfaced resulting in the same look and durability for a lower price, I’m obviously good with that too. The sidewalk is 20′ wide and 10′ across. My front is basically the same, but I’m looking to set aside about a quarter of it as soil for a garden. While I’m at it, I might as well scrape and repaint my iron fence and gate. Any idea how much this will run me? Also, how long does the work take and how long for the concrete to dry? Thanks.

I used Jabus Contruction (718-625-7638) to replace my large sidewalk. They charged $5,500 and pulled permits and had the violation removed. They showed up with a crew of regular employees ( not day laborers ) and did the job in one day. They broke up the sidewalk, carted it away and poured a new sidewalk. I was happy with the job and the price.

I would recommend calling guy I use frequently for years. Has done all my masonry including new sidewalk. and installed/painted ironwork in front. his name is Shahab – 646-523-7155 – Little hard to understand on phone but very pleasant to deal with.Can’t hurt to get estimate or opinion if just needs fixing or total redo.I also suggest that you make sure you tell whoever you use to tint the cement a color tone you want…I prefer a gray that looks about slate color.
