Rooftop cover extension
We are looking for a roof top pro who can take a look at our roof and provide us with advice what materials we can use to cover the entire roof and make it accessible without risking any damage to the actual roofing cover. We currently have two decks on the roof and walk between those on the plain roof with some rubber mats for extra protection. Our goal would be to find a broader cover that allows us to move freely across the entire roof. The building is a brownstone from 1900.

thank you for the responses. The roof is already accessible, and we were thinking of something like astro turf for the fenced in area. But looks like we should consult an architect.

maybe not… the fire code excludes non-metallic deck materials that can be easily cut with standard power tools as obstructions. i think you’re looking for an architect.

pretty sure this is a code violation
