Celestino has opened in Bed Stuy

Chicho has finally opened Celestino on Halsey right by Stuyvesant.  Dinn was incredible last night. It’s still BYOB.  Here’s the menu: Oysters:  Bluepoints 2.50  Kumamoto 3.50  (The blue points ere incredible) Salads: Mixed green salad with endive & radichio 8.00 Sardines marinated in Prosecco, served on bed of watercress  12.00 Fennel & blood orange salad with rucola and blue cheese 12.00 Appetizers: Pan seared calamari and shrimps brochette with radishes  14.00 Sauteed mussels and clams in white wine sauce  13.00  17.00 Cuttlefish with green peas and curry over polenta 13.00 Grilled calamari  12.00  (Among the best I’ve ever had) Pasta: Spago with mussels 14.00 Spinach taglioni with shrimp and lemon  14.00 Crepe filled with fish eagu and onion  15.00  (INCREDIBLE) Vegetarian couscous 13.00 Main Fish of the Day M.P. Scallops with carmelized onions 15.00 Codfish cakes woth EVOO on brocolli puree 17.00  (EXCELLENT) Kids: pasta in tomato or butter sauce  5.00 Meatballs in tomati sauce 7.00   We had an excellent panacotta for dessert

Nice!!! I got a tour of Celestino a couple of weeks ago and was very impressed.This place is no joke, it’s got style. You can really tell this owner cares about his product. I’m heading over there tonight hoping their food matches the quality of the decor. The best part is that I live just around the corner.
