Salvage?

I am soon to embark on a renovation – the existing house has kitchen appliances and washer / dryer that are in working order (just old) and a fair bit of mid-century wood paneling. Are there outfits that would remove these items prior to demo (and pay me some amount for it?)

You can take working appliances and other salvaged items to Build it Green NYC (there is a location in Brooklyn and one in Astoria – http://www.bignyc.org
