looking for in-stock hex tile

Long time lurker, but my first time asking a question here– we’re just finishing a renovation, and somehow we had a miscommunication about the kind of tile we wanted for the floor. We’re now in a time crunch and need to finish our bathroom so we can move in before our kindergartner starts school, and we’re looking for 1 inch rectified-edge hexagonal floor tile– the old-fashioned black and white kind. Does anyone know if this is something you can find in-stock or with very fast shipping anywhere in the NYC area? We’re finding that everywhere we call would need about 10 business days to get it in. If anyone has any advice, I would really appreciate it.

Classic Tile does have the classic black & white hex in stock (or at least did a few weeks ago) but it has sort of a rounded edge, which I don’t think is what you’re looking for. I used it for my recent bath reno and also have a small box left over.

Try Classic Tile in Brooklyn – they have a ton of tiles in stock, and I think you can check out a lot of their inventory online.

Thanks, guys! I think we might just go with what we already have– black and white hex tile, just not as flat as I was hoping for (I didn’t look into this that carefully when telling the contractor what we wanted).

Hey suzy – we got the regular white and black hex tiles at Tile World in Flushing – a lot of places out there in that area selling kitchen and bath items – and I seem to recall the prices being reasonably good/better than others. It may be worth your while to compare them to whomever else you find who carries these. (They had ours in stock.) SWR
