Layouts and floor plans

We are in the planning phase of construction on a three story (garden, parlor, top)-two family home. Our current need is to have a master suite, two separate bedrooms for our children as well as a separate bathroom for them all on the same floor (top floor). I’d like to find examples of similar layouts that have been done before just to get an idea of what is possible. I’m sure this has been asked before but my search doesn’t yield much. Eventually we will consult with an architect or designer but for now we’d just like to know if our dreams are possible. Feel free to post links to previous discussions if they exist. Cheers!

Thanks for the heads up. We just updated the site, and that project was replaced with more current work, so I can’t share that link anymore. We have a couple others online that have similar layouts.

Start by going to Residential, and looking at Maple Street and President Street. Maple Street has three bedrooms and one bath. President Street has three bedrooms and a bath, but also has a playroom that could easily be converted to a master bath.

We also have two Passive House renovations in the In Progress section. The second one (5th Street, in Park Slope) has a layout with 3 bedrooms and two baths.

Other residential projects on the site have a master bedroom, 2 kids’ rooms, and a shared bathroom.
