Doorbell / Intercom system for 3-family home in Brooklyn

I’m renovating a 3-family home and I’d like to start thinking about running a doorbell or intercom system. Does anyone have any experience with a brand or type of system they like? I took a couple pics of intercoms in renovated buildings in my area to get an idea of what people are using. You don’t say whether you desire video or access control (ie door unlocking) – but some major brand options include Aiphone, Comelit, DKS Doorking, Siedle, Lee Dan, Mircom, Alpha Communications. I have Aiphone, it is acceptable and reliable. FYI – Most of these, if not all, are not particularly DIY friendly. I had to hire someone to re-program my multi-family intercom into a single family, as trying to DIY was archaic and confusing with little to no info available.
