Good Rental Broker in Park Slope?

I’m moving back to Brooklyn after a few years away.  I’m looking for a 3BR rental in Park Slope, and am trying to figure out two things: 1) Is my current broker appropriate for a rental?  She does more home _sales_, which is what I used her for in the past.  She tells me she can help me with the rental as well.  She is with Corcoran, and I really like and trust her.  My only concern is whether she’ll have access to the best listings.  2) Can you recommend a great renter’s broker in Park Slope? Agree with Brokelin.  In Brooklyn, and with rentals, there really is no such thing as a great broker with the best listings.  Your broker, and other brokers, can only show you rentals that are listed with their company.  On top of that, there are a lot of small buildings, or individual units, all with different ways of advertising, so it’s kind of hit or miss.  You are now your best broker – with Craigslist – meaning that that is the way to have the widest selection of apartments.

Is there such thing as a good rental broker in the slope..I mean, I know you can get good apartments from brokers in Manhattan, where there are lots of tall rental apartment buildings.  there are very few large rental buildings in the slope, if any…they all went coop in the eighties, if not before.  corcoran will wildly overprice rentals..I have seen this first hand.  Craigslist is your broker… where you will find the widest range of listings, from brokers and owners, and where you can get a more true picture of the market.  search for three bedrooms, and you will cut out all or most of the garbage listings.
